The Pilots are picked by many to finish second in the league this year! I'm sure St. Mary's will have something to say about that. They look very strong in all catagories this year... and then there's Gonzaga; Picked to fniah first again thia year.

Portland State looks very tough again this year. They put away the Pilots hitting 15 three point baskets and getting it done down the streach. As last year's Big Sky champs they are favored to repeat again this year. Go see them!

LEAGUE TOURNAMENT: Las Vegas!

The WCC has gone to an off campus site for their tournament trying to pick a nuetral site but more lickly it's all about money. In an attempt to protect its top teams, the format for the tournament was altered to give the top two seeds an automatic bye into Sunday's semifinal round. Friday, the opening round will pit the No. 5 seed against the No. 8 seed and the No. 6 seed against the No. 7 seed. On Saturday, the No. 3 seed will face the No. 5-8 winner, while the No. 4 seed will clash with the No. 6-7 winner. The championship game is scheduled for Monday, and will be televised on ESPN.
